The Old Grammarians’ Club was founded in classroom B19 of Paisley Grammar School. The Club was born of a need to ‘keep in touch’ beyond the school years, and support and promote the wellbeing and interests of the school and its current and former pupils and staff. As was expressed by former Club President, the late Enid McIntyre, it existed “to form a lasting bond of union among the form pupils of the ancient School whose interests it has ever at heart”.
Today, the Old Grammarians Club runs three events a year for its members; two luncheons and an Annual Gala Ball. These events allow the committee to interact with the club’s members and their contemporaries. The highlight of the year is always the Annual Gala Ball held in early March every year, where Grammarians past and present come together to dance the night away while meeting old friends and making new ones.
If you would like to get in contact with the committee please use our email firstname.lastname@example.org or leave us a comment on Facebook. We would be happy to help in any way we can. The committee assembles for regular meetings in Paisley Grammar School surrounding the future of the club and organisation of the yearly events. We always welcome new committee members to come along to these meetings and we invite all members to the AGM held in September.
